No. You fill out a 10-minute form on your phone — business name, phone number, cities you serve, services you offer, and a couple of photos. We handle everything else: building the site, setting up hosting, registering the domain, and setting up your Google Business Profile.

Yes — and that's by design. Your domain gets registered in your name, on your own account, from day one. We recommend Cloudflare (where your site is already hosted) because they charge exactly what the registry charges, no markup — typically $10–15/year for a .com. We'll walk you through the 5-minute signup during onboarding. Since it's registered in your name, there's never a transfer process if you ever want to leave — it's already yours.

If your current site is already doing well in Google and generating leads, we can focus on the GBP and monthly SEO only. If it's a Facebook page, a Wix site that hasn't been touched in 3 years, or something you built in an afternoon — we'll build you something better and redirect traffic from the old domain.

Most contractors see their GBP listing appear in Google Maps within 1–2 weeks of verification. Organic website rankings typically start moving in months 2–3 and build meaningfully through month 6. We set that expectation clearly at onboarding. The monthly report shows you every movement so you're never wondering what's happening.

There isn't one. The $1,197 build fee is one-time. After that it's $19/mo for hosting with no minimum term — cancel anytime, no penalty. If you later add active management at $197/mo, that's also cancel-anytime.

Because it shouldn't be sold before you've seen it matters. Once your site and GBP are live, your first month's report will show you real numbers — views, calls, ranking. If you want us actively pushing those numbers further (posts, review responses, rank tracking, citation monitoring), you can add it then. Most contractors who see their first month of data choose to.

You own your domain and all the site content — nothing to transfer, because it was never ours. If you cancel, we export the site files to you so you can host them anywhere. The GBP stays yours too — we remove ourselves as manager and you retain full control.

Busy seasons end. Every contractor we work with has a slow period — winter, off-season, when Thumbtack bids get more competitive. The website and Google ranking you build now are what fill your calendar during the next slow stretch. The best time to build it is when you don't need it yet.
