Wix vs. done for you

Wix or a done-for-you
contractor website?

Wix is the cheapest way to get a website in dollars, and a good fit if you like building. The cost is your time, and the parts of local search that most first-time builders skip. Here is the honest comparison, using Wix's published plans.

Wix and FieldTender, answered.

Is Wix good enough for a contractor?

It can be. A Wix site can look professional and Wix has SEO tools. What decides whether a local site gets calls is the content, a verified Google listing and consistent listings elsewhere, and those are the parts a first-time builder often does not get to. They are the parts we do for you.

How long does a Wix site take to build?

It depends on you. A first build can take many hours across layout, writing, photos and settings. Our own estimate for a first-time builder is 20 or more hours. FieldTender is a 10-minute form and a 15-minute call, with the site live in 48 hours.

Can I switch from Wix to FieldTender later?

Yes. We build a new site on your own domain. Tell us on the intake form where your domain is registered and we will guide you through the change needed to point it at the new site.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. There is no minimum term for FieldTender. You can cancel hosting at any time and you are billed through the end of the period you cancel in.
